Meet Mrs. Craig
My name is Mrs. Laura Craig. I am the Elementary School Counselor at BES. I am currently beginning my thirteenth year at Bourbon Elementary School. I taught Kindergarten and 4th Grade before getting my Master's in Counseling. In August of 2010, I graduated from Missouri Baptist University with a M.A. in Counseling.

I LOVE working at BES! I am a Class of 2000 Bourbon High School graduate and attended Bourbon Schools starting with Kindergarten. I love being in my home town and working with the students at BES. As the elementary school counselor, I have the opportunity to work with students in a wide variety of areas, including individually, in small groups and in the classroom. Each elementary classroom visits the counseling class on a weekly basis. As the elementary counselor I also work with small groups of students. The school counselor teaches classroom lessons to implement the Missouri Comprehensive Guidance Program and Missouri Counseling Grade Level Expectations. Character education is implemented in classroom lessons and through weekly PBS lessons taught by the classroom teachers.

Besides spending time and working with the students at school, I love spending time with my family!! I also enjoy spending time outdoors and reading when I get the chance.
Project Anti-Violence Education
Girl Scout Representatives will be here on September 15 for our 1st PAVE lesson of the year! They will be visiting BES in November and February as well!!
